365 Project: Day 62


Day 62… we’ve had so much colour on here lately! Greens, blues, even some yellow a few days ago! That’s more than enough of that… back to the monochromatic I say!

[I have been keeping an eye on this tree for some time… I like it. I’ve tried shots of it before, but it’s just never quite been how I see it in my head. This is the closest so far. The R72 filter really helped – and for the first time in a long time, there’s some photoshoppery on this one too… a couple of texture overlays, or underlays I suppose, to give it a little extra something. Your thoughts? Successful, or too much? Or not enough? OM-D, Panasonic Leica 25mm f/1.4. Handheld infrared shot, lightly toned in Lightroom. Incidentally, this is my favourite since Day 57, and both are infrared shots… coincidence? Maybe…]

  1. The way you’ve processed this makes the sky look like a backdrop – as in on stage, in a theatre – it looks really close to the tree and solid. For me that gives the photo an interesting dimension. The more I look at it the more I like it. I would like to see this printed.
