Day 231. It’s tough being the odd one out…
Edge 80
365 Project: Day 203
Day 203. Just another row of trees, except this one is really different – it has ANOTHER row of trees right behind it! Do the front trees stand out enough? That was my question. I *think* possibly that the Edge 80 helped me answer it, but it’s hard to say for sure. What do you think?
365 Project: Day 199
Day 199. It seems my endless fascination with trees in fields lives on… but then I suppose most endless things do, don’t they? Drove past this line of trees many times, and kept thinking “I really must take a photo of them”… so, I did. And here it is.
365 Project: Day 147
Day 147. This is what happens when I listen to All the little lights by Passenger!
365 Project: Day 145
365 Project: Day 133
Day 133. Just a simple shot today, to remind me to appreciate the simple things, like living in a place where the sky lights up with colours like a canvas, full of textures, contrasts, details. It does this so often, it almost seems normal, and from where I live (the side of a hill), the sky is just so damn big, I think I can see forever. I probably can.
365 Project: Day 114
Day 114… hard to believe we are here, already!
Also, I’m home! I have been away for a couple of weeks now, but am now home, sitting at my familiar computer, loving the two monitors that allow me to actually run LR4 properly. Apologies to those people who have taken the time to view, like, and comment on my work – I really really do appreciate your support (which keeps me motivated, to be honest!) and will try my hardest to catch up in the days to come. Today’s shot is a simple one, just a contemplative evening looking out to sea. Easy to do when you live where I do… on this particular evening, I stood taking photos, listening as the local pipe and drum band rehearsed, watching the various groups of people on the beach, walking on the boardwalk, glancing out to sea at the pastel colours of sunset… a lovely feeling of calm, of connection, of community.
This was taken on the D700 (for a change!), with the Lensbaby Edge 80. Just in case you are interested. Oh, and two other mostly irrelevant pieces of information – 1) I’ve decided to do away with the square brackets (I never really knew why I was using them); and 2) I’ve finally remembered to update my watermark for the new year. I know, world-changing stuff, right??
365 Project: Day 66
Day 66. Something quite different… just because.
[Taken under a bridge near the rail yards in Devonport. I don’t know why I wanted to take a photo here – but I liked the shape of the bridge pylons. Maybe that’s why… Lensbaby Edge 80, if I recall correctly… Processed with the clarity turned all the way up in LR4.]
365 Project: Day 49
Day 49. Is there a hidden message in today’s photo? Not sure…
[Just the side of a shed, on the side of the road. Taken with the Nikon D700, along with the Lensbaby. Edge 80 again, of course. Oh, and Silver Efex Pro 2 again too. Of course.]
365 Project: Day 48
Day 48. Umm… it’s a hill. And some trees. That’s all.
[Tried to find one with some colour in it for you Sharon… best I could do for now! Taken near West Pine this evening… sun had set, and there wasn’t too much colour left to be found. D700, Lensbaby, Edge 80.]
