There’s a delicate balance to be found here – two people, two chairs, two bikes, and the rug offsets the expanse of tiles. Movement contrasts with stillness, solidity with temporary. Purpose, direction, and a place to pause and reflect.

Or is it just me?

As the days shorten,
the icy veil knitted with dark threads
(a little larger each sunset),
I find myself seeking light,
warmth, colour, movement, sound,
all of it too close and too far at the same time.

Winter makes moths of us all.
