365 Project: Day 129

Day 129

Day 129. Quite clearly, this is another interpretation of that classic location that I previously featured on Day 118. I must say, I prefer the feel of that earlier shot – but really, I’m interested to hear your thoughts… which do you prefer, and why? (Oh, and this is another nice opportunity to keep going with the whole ‘seascape’ thing that I’ve been on for a few days now… tomorrow will be something else, I promise!!)

365 Project: Day 63

IR-shed-and-cloud

Day 63. The sun is shining, and it’s a glorious afternoon. It’s warm, but not hot… sunny, but not too bright. Good photo weather! Hardly a cloud in the sky… except for this one perhaps. How is the weather where you are?

[So this was another infrared shot, with the OM-D and the Panasonic Leica 25mm f/1.4. A beautiful bright blue sky = beautiful dark sky in the IR world! Incidentally, I’ve featured almost this exact location before, back on Day 16. Seems so long ago!]

Fence-IR-black-and-white

Day 57… a few interesting shots from an afternoon of scooter riding… this here is my favourite one.

[Continuing to refine the methodology I began to organise yesterday for my IR shots, using the OM-D in monotone mode, etc… I actually really like this shot. This was a bit of a blast from the past too, in the sense that in preparing for an exhibition I had a couple of years ago, I spent many afternoons and evenings riding my scooter around the back roads around where I live… I’m lucky in that I live about 2 minutes away from the ocean, and about 10 minutes away from the greenest, most gorgeous rolling hills around. I really like this shot… one of my favourites so far I think. For me it’s a good example of bringing something of my more usual compositional style to the IR genre… gives me lots of new ideas! Oh, it’s the OM-D and the Panasonic Leica 25mm f/1.4. Again.]

365 Project: Day 9

Fences-Vegetation-Lensbaby

Day 9 and the show must go on… As I was putting this together, I was wondering whether I should keep these as separate shots, and thus get two days out of them! But I like them together… do you?

[Continuing yesterday’s themes of unkempt wooden structures with vegetation in varying states of dominance, and of course the second theme of just shooting what I see rather than planning ahead! Can you guess the lens? That’s right – the Lensbaby Edge 80 again…]
