365 Project: Day 227

Day 227

Day 227. This is day 227 of my project, but at least day 1,000 of looking out of my window and seeing this view. This is the exact same spot as Day 219… on that day, the storm was just moving in, low, and loud, and full of energy and potential. Today, you can just see another storm exiting stage left, chased away by the warmth of the sun at the end of the afternoon.  In 1,000 days I have never seen the same view twice. Do we not live in a beautiful world, if only we take the time to see it?

Day 196

Day 196. We drove for hours to reach this place; on the far west coast of Tasmania… the air here last touched land in South America and has ripped half way around the world to blow the sea spray into my face. We catch the tail end of a storm, and as the sharp, biting wind shocks my skin I’m thrilled – this is the weather I always think of, when I think of Marrawah. Welcome to the edge of my world…

Beach-Burnie-Storm

Day 31… here comes the storm!

[Taken at the beach in Burnie this time – hence the large pile of woodchips visible… OM-D, and the little Panasonic 14mm f/2.5 pancake lens. Along with the ND110 of course.  Looks quite serene I think? Even though for the last 10 seconds of the exposure I was getting pelted with rain, and spray from the waves hitting those rocks in the foreground…]
